Coming together @ #RMC

Obergurgl, a small inner-alpine village situated at around 1,900 m a.s.l., lies in the beautiful Ötz valley and is surrounded by an impressive mountain landscape with glaciers and peaks reaching well above 3,000 m. Thanks to year-round tourism, the local infrastructure and public transport is very well developed.

We are fully aware of the CO₂ emissions and resource consumption associated with #RMC, a conference that emphasizes face-to-face exchange within and beyond interactive workshop settings. With #RMC26, we continue our commitment to sustainable conference formats and are once again aiming to obtain the “Green Event Tirol” certificate. Alos, we are making every effort to minimize the CO₂ footprint in all areas within our responsibility.

(Austria/EU) Entry Restrictions

Austria is a signatory of the Schengen Agreement, stating that EU citizens can travel freely within Europe. All non-European Union citizens are required to have a valid passport and visa to enter the EU. A letter of invitation/confirmation will be provided to everyone via the conference tool after registration.

Good to know for your Schengen visa

Keep in mind that you have to request the Schengen visa from your local Austrian diplomatic mission BEFORE your trip.
Regular process time takes around 30 days, sometimes up to 60 days!
Official language is German, most forms are multilingual in English/German.

Arrival at the host location

The main railway Bologna – Verona – Bolzano – Brenner – Innsbruck – Munich allows fast connections with all major cities both North and South of the Alps.

Within the Austrian rail network, the ÖBB Railjet operates hourly, alongside the less frequent westbahn.at, providing service across Austria from east to west and vice versa.

For most of the airports special airport shuttles to Innsbruck are available. Alternatively, you can use another public transport system (Train, Bus) for the “last mile”.

Innsbruck is located directly at the traffic hub A12 (E60) and A13 (E45). To navigate the shortest way to Innsbruck use one of the following “Route Finders” or an alternative one.

There are just a limited number of parking slots around the #IMC Main Campus, which are time-restricted and chargeable. A very close chargeable parking garage is available but we recommend to use the public transport system (for free with the #IMC badge) or to walk. Alternatively, you can rent a bike.
